Brief Background of Pinnacle@Duxton

The Pinnacle@Duxton, at 156m, is the tallest public housing project in Singapore located at 1, Cantonment Road. The project is the result of an International Architectural Design Competition. The winning architects called their design 'Sky Houses, Flying Green'.

The Pinnacle@Duxton consists of seven 50-storey towers connected by skybridges and has a total of 1,848 residential units. The residents had the opportunity to select their flats’ layout from 35 different combinations of balconies, planter boxes, extended bays and bay windows. Construction commenced in Apr 2005 and project was completed in Dec 2009.

The Pinnacle@Duxton features the world's two longest Sky Gardens (500m each), on both the 26th & 50th storey. The Sky Garden at the 26th storey (for residents only) boasts a jogging track, an outdoor gym as well as children’s playground.

The Sky Garden at the 50th storey is an observation deck open to the public where panoramic views of the city and beyond can be enjoyed all year round.

The Pinnacle@Duxton, especially the 50th storey observation deck, has since become a popular attraction for both local and foreign visitors and also countless media production companies wanting to use it as a backdrop for their productions. On 8 August 2010, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had also delivered his annual National Day message at the top floor of the Pinnacle@Duxton.
